Catering

Our caterers Our school catering is provided by Caterlink, who we appointed in April 2024 and do a fabulous job. Led on site by Alina, all food is cooked fresh in our school kitchen and is available to students from five different serveries around school. Queue times are minimal, food is available on a sit down or take away basis and we have lots of outdoor seating for the finer weather, as well as all the usual indoor spaces to eat.

Menus & Meal Deal Please see Caterlink’s menus below. The menu operates on a 3-week cycle, changes twice a year, and offers variety to meet all taste, cultural and dietary requirements. In addition to the daily changing menu, there are also salads, sandwiches, baguettes and a range of drinks, fruit and packaged snacks available, as well as lots of popular takeaway hot snack foods at breaktime. Items are individually priced (price list below) and can be bought in any combination. There is a special “meal deal” available at lunchtime every day which includes the daily hot dish and dessert as well as hot and cold alternatives for a set price of £2.66.

Allergy, Dietary or Cultural Requirements If your child has specific dietary or cultural requirements, they should speak with Alina, any of the kitchen team, or the PHS staff on duty in the serveries, who will be able to provide allergen and other ingredient information.  Please also ensure you have advised us of any dietary requirements of an allergy or intolerance nature, so we can sure our health records are accurate and appropriate support is available for your child at school.

Free school meals (FSM) – eligible students receive a £2.66 daily allowance to use at lunchtime or break at any school servery. Eligibility for FSM is now split into two categories under government rules:

    • Targeted FSM (Universal Credit earnings of £7,400 or less, or qualifying benefits): Includes the daily £2.66 meal allowance plus extra government funding for our school from which we can in turn offer eligible families additional  financial assistance (including in some cases a £25 annual clothing grant, trip and activity subsidies, and school holiday supermarket vouchers in place of school lunch).
    • Expanded FSM (Universal Credit earnings over £7,400): Includes the daily £2.66 meal allowance, but does not include additional financial support, clothing grants, or holiday food vouchers.

Checking Eligibility for FSM:  please do check whether you qualify for FSM and sign up. Eligibility can be checked online here or we can run the check on your behalf — pop into Reception or email  phs-admin@pinnerhighschool.org for assistance.

Paying for food at school We use a cashless system called ParentPay for all payments at Pinner High School. New students will receive their login details when they join us. Please click here to log in. Please see the document below for instructions on how to view your child’s meal choices on ParentPay.
