Our careers programme is designed to inspire learning beyond the curriculum and to support every student throughout their journey at Pinner High School.

This termly newsletter is shared with students and parents and offers the latest work experience and careers insight opportunities, as well as links to useful careers websites.
In line with our commitment to provide outstanding careers education for all our students, we provide all students with access to the award winning careers platform, Unifrog. This platform provides students the opportunity to explore their interests and skills, helping them understand where these might lead in terms of a career. Students can access quizzes, careers libraries and search for college and university options using the ‘exploring pathways’ tools. It can also support students in writing CVs and personal statements. Parents can request a log in to access the information on the site by emailing skabel@pinnerhighschool.org.
This policy statement sets out the school’s arrangements for managing the access of providers to pupils at the school for the purpose of giving them information about the provider’s education or training offer. This complies with the school’s legal obligations under Section 42B of the Education Act 1997 and the Education (Careers Guidance in Schools) Act 2022 . In addition, the school is compliant with statutory guidance for schools and colleges on providing careers guidance that the government set out for delivery from January 2023’ Careers guidance and access for education and training providers’ . As part of our commitment to inform students of the full range of learning and training routes available, we are actively seeking people who can speak to our students about training, vocational education routes and apprenticeships. Opportunities for access
A number of opportunities exist within the CEIAG programme which may be suitable for providers to visit the school to speak to students.

West London Careers Hub is a group of schools and colleges working together to provide outstanding careers education. They partner with local businesses to improve outcomes for young people, education and employers. Through partnerships, they aim to ensure that every young person gets the guidance, skills and experiences they need to make an informed decision about their future career path. They also publish the latest labour market information.
LifeSkills, created by Barclays, is a free, curriculum-linked program, developed with teachers to help improve the skills and employability of young people in the UK.

Success at School is a website where students can explore careers, find information about top employers, and search for the latest jobs, courses and advice and sign up for the latest apprenticeships, university events and networking opportunities via email.
