Entry for Year 7 for September 2021

Here is our dedicated website to help students joining us this September to prepare for life at Pinner High School!

Our Open Event in the autumn of 2020 was an online virtual event shared from Facebook Premiere at 7pm on Thursday 8th October.  The film is now available on this website (About Us) on the school Facebook page and on our YouTube Channel. We had 1,500 visitors to each of the open events in 2018 and 2019, so holding the event in autumn 2020 just wasn't possible.

Appeals information

If you have not been allocated Pinner High School, you may choose to appeal to the local authority. The closing date for appeals to be submitted was 30th March 2021. Appeals submitted by the deadline will be held during the Summer term. If you submit an appeal after the deadline, it may not be heard before the end of the summer term.

Entry for Year 7 for September 2022

We are planning to hold events for Year 6 families in October 2021 for entry to the school in September 2022. We will confirm these events nearer the time when we have more up to date Covid guidance.

Bookings are essential and must be made from the start of September 2021 from the school website. You will need to book for a specific session, which will involve a presentation from the Headteacher, and a student led tour of the school. Group sizes will be limited.

Wednesday 6th October 2021: 9.00am, 10.00am

Thursday 7th October 2021: 9.00am, 10.00am, 4.30pm, 6.00pm

We know how important this choice is for families, so you may also find our previous films are helpful on our Youtube channel and give you a good sense of all that is involved in a Pinner High School education. Our social media presence on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn can also be a good insight into school life. You may also find our most recent school magazine a useful source of information.

The admissions arrangements for 2021/22 are available below. The number of Year 7 places available and the over-subscription criteria are the same as now. We have clarified the waiting list arrangements and added a section reminding parents that providing false information could result in an offer or place being withdrawn. We have added a section about Sixth Form admissions because of our first Year 12 students. The remaining changes are administrative (such as updating the relevant dates for the different academic year).

In 2020 we were the most oversubscribed school in Harrow with 1170 applications for 180 places. On the 1st March 2020 the last distance offered was 0.7 of a mile, and we had a waiting list of 269. 28 of those families were offered places before 1st September, and the last distance offered rose to 0.76 of a mile.

In 2021 we are again the most oversubscribed school in Harrow with 1200 applicants for 180 places. On 1st March 2021 the last distance offered was 0.62 of a mile. Our waiting list currently numbers 249.
